The International Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage were launched in 2000. They are one of the major award schemes recognising and rewarding environmental endeavor in this sector around the world. Buildings and structures are chosen as Green Apple Award winners for both preserving our architectural heritage and making a positive contribution to the built environment. Bexwyke Lodge, Manchester Grammar School was awarded the Bronze award and Mark Middleton and Charlotte Copeland are pictured accepting their Green Plaque at the awards ceremony at the House of Commons.
